TIGER OF SWEDEN SS17: A BACKSTAGE STORY

This season, Tiger of Sweden creative director Andreas Gran presents a collection inspired by the Baroque era and the evolution of style through time. The first silhouettes to be presented on the runway show a dense floral-print reminiscent of a rococo garden. Pieces of tailoring meet more relaxed elements like knee-length shorts, zipped blazers or slimming tank tops. Headbands worn by some of the models read « third culture kids, » referencing how current generations manage to create a culture of their own. Overall, the collection creates a balance between exquisite tailoring – the heritage of Tiger of Sweden – and a refreshing, young vibe brought by the creative mind of Andreas Gran.
