VERSACE FALL WINTER 2016: A BACKSTAGE STORY
Milan, Versace Fall Winter 2016. Donatella Versace is the epitome of women empowerment. And rather than having an overly feminist discourse, she shows with her clothes what women really want. She always manages to make them feel both sexy and confident. This season, the show opened with some sharp-looking, navy-blue belted coats and jackets, then top model Mariacarla Boscono turned up wearing a turquoise leather jacket with black detailing over a turtleneck sportsbra and sleek trousers. Paired with black motorcycle gloves, the look was as sexy as liberating. From this point on, the collection took a sporty turn with jersey dresses slit on the sides. A dazzling print appeared on a few of the pieces, and towards the end, evening looks showed fluidity and sensuality with a dominance of pastel colors like pale blue, pink or sea-green.
