BACKSTAGE AT YOHJI YAMAMOTO SPRING-SUMMER 2015 PARIS

On Friday, September 26th, Yohji Yamamoto presented his Spring-Summer 2015 collection at the Jeu de Paume in Paris’ beautiful Jardin des Tuileries. Though very asymmetrical and structural, the collection had an undeniable element of refinement. Mainly black and white, Yamamoto’s designs offered a bunch of bold pieces and accessories in gold lamé such as coats, gloves, sneakers, and even a skateboard helmet. Refined lace gave the collection an indisputable romantic side, accentuated by the styling of the models. With dark eye shadow, messy-looking dark eyebrows and textural hair, the Yohji Yamamoto girls are in for a dark romance. At the end of the show, a very vegetal bride walked in with flowers growing all over her corset and, of course, wearing a white helmet!
