40 YEARS OF CREATION: BEHIND THE MAGIC OF BONPOINT SUMMER 2016
Forty years of success is something to celebrate. This is why, this season, Bonpoint decided to put on a great spread by organizing its fashion show at the heart of Paris Luxembourg’s gardens. The décor paved with lush vegetation and a wooden summer hut at the end of the path created a dreamy universe where the children feel at home. The collection evolved around five themes: Cherry Blossom, Buena Vista, The Party, Diabolo Menthe, and Nouvelle Vague. Here, the successful codes of the Bonpoint House are revisited and reinterpreted. Iconic liberty prints and delicate embroideries come as a common thread, linking the multiple inspirations to create an homogenous yet diverse collection. The show was also the occasion for creative director Christine Innamorato to present the second edition of the Bonpoint Couture line, which highlights the House’s incredible craftsmanship and know-how. As for YAM, the line meant for teenage girls who have kept their inner child alive, it complements Bonpoint’s main line with a touch of teenage impertinence and gracious naïvety. At the end, the Etoile Marie-Agnès Gillot appears on the runway and delivers a poetic dance performance that closes the show leaving an everlasting imprint.
