The Maitrepierre Autumn/Winter 2022-2023 collection is called “Nostalgia”. The intimate and unique feelings that surround the term nostalgia were a springboard for the design team that allowed them to question the relationship between present and past. Almost like an experimental laboratory, they balance old memories and archives with technology and artificial intelligence: old couture techniques meet sportswear codes. Jewels, metal chains and inflated gems playfully dance together on prints, contrasting with sophisticated drapes. If the future seems critical, Maitrepierre dreams of a better world, a world that is composed and respectful of the environment. The collection is 90% sustainable and was also showcased at the Paris Climate Academy, which is an institution conceived with and for young people, tasked with preparing a generation of active citizens to live in a sustainable manner.

Maitrepierre prototypes and produces both ready-to-wear pieces and the sunglasses collection, designed in collaboration with Emmanuelle Khanh, locally in France. All the dead-stock leather accessories are produced in Spain. They focus on using recycled fiber materials, non-polluting inks and natural enzymes for fabric treatment. ‘’Tomorrow will be greener, full of love.’’ Is the Maitrepierre message for winter 2022.
