The Baracuta Four Climes collection blends Baracuta’s British roots, his time in the United States and the Japanese design influences of Daiki Suzuki. In SS23, the Baracuta Four Climes collection designed by Japanese designer Daiki Suzuki is a mix of all three cultures: the United Kingdom, the United States, and Japan.

Baracuta was founded in Manchester, England, in 1937; soon after, in the 1950s, the British brand decided to open an office in the Empire State Building. This allowed the brand to expand globally but for a short time but in the meanwhile Baracuta had to trade under the name Four Climes. This collection celebrates and brings back the Four Climes periods and the Brand’s history; Japanese designer Daiki Suzuki has brought to life a six-piece collection where Japanese, American, and British influences are persistent and palpable. 

These influences are visible in the silhouettes of the garments, the materials used, and the fit. One of the most important aspects of the collection is the materials used: Solaro is probably one of the most iconic fabrics in fashion. This fabric is known for the iridescent effect that comes from the very construction of the yarn, which becomes brighter, changing intensity depending on the refraction of light on the garment itself. Also Denim appears in the collection, which represents the perfect fusion of American taste and the brand’s English DNA.
