After the departure of Haider Ackerman, LVMH has announced that Kris Van Assche would take his place as artistic director of Berluti. The Belgian designer is well known for his work at Dior Homme, where he stayed eleven years and redefined classic menswear tailoring with touches of minimalism and a curiosity for contemporary youth culture. Following in the steps of the charismatic Hedi Slimane is not an easy task and Van Assche proved he has a strong vision of his own. Having recently left his spot to Kim Jones, it was only a matter of time before he was placed in another fashion house to start a new adventure. The first collection he will present for Berluti will be showcased in January of 2019.
