BLUEMARBLE FW25: A TRIBUTE TO “LE QUATRE HEURES”

By Iris JEANSON

For Fall/Winter 2025, Bluemarble channels the cherished French tradition of le goûter, a late-afternoon moment of connection and indulgence. Designer Anthony Alvarez Graff draws on childhood memories of countryside afternoons, where family, friends, pastries, and hot chocolate created a rich tapestry of togetherness and cultural curiosity. “Le quatre heures is this loving moment when time stops and people come together to share something special,” explains Alvarez Graff. “It is also when my mother instilled in me my curiosity for different cultures: of never forgetting your roots, but always being open to the world.”

The collection blends nostalgia with modernity, featuring sun-bleached graphic tees, vintage-inspired motorcycle jackets, lace-trimmed tracksuits, and velour tailoring. Intricate details—embroidered denim, intarsia knits, and beaded UGG slippers—reflect heirloom craftsmanship. Motifs of cottage lamps, fridge-magnet patches, and crystal accents bring a whimsical, personal touch.

Set in showspace decorated as a familial living room with pastries by chef Mory Sacko served for all those in attendance, the show celebrated Bluemarble’s spirit of community and cultural exchange, proving that even the simplest moments can inspire extraordinary connections.
