BONS BAISERS DE BEIJING

By Crash redaction

Presented from October 18th 2022 to February 27th 2023 at the Guimet Museum in Paris, the exhibition Bons Baisers de Beijing celebrates the 10th anniversary of the Yishu Prize 8. Supported by Boucheron, Maison de style et de créativité de la Haute Joaillerie française, the Contemporary Art Prize rewards young artists each year in France and China and offers the selected French and Chinese Laureates the opportunity to immerse themselves in their mutual artistic worlds.

The exhibition presented by Yishu 8 is a retrospective of the last ten years of artistic creations between France and China. Painters, sculptors, visual artists, videographers and photographers all come together, having experienced this journey in a foreign artistic world to find new inspiration.

Created by Frédéric Boucheron in 1858, the Maison Boucheron was built through four generations of direct descendants. As a visionary creator and the first of the great contemporary jewelers to open a boutique on Place Vendôme, Boucheron still embodies excellence in jewelry, fine jewelry and watchmaking. The Boucheron style, free and bold, never ceases to invent the classics of tomorrow. Boucheron now has more than 85 outlets worldwide and is part of the global luxury group Kering.

Much more than a cultural partnership, the alliance between Boucheron and Yishu 8 initiated in 2018 celebrates the meeting between the know-how of a French High Jeweler and secular Chinese culture. Halfway between art and jewelry, this bridge between Paris and Beijing places creativity at the heart of dialogue.

Yishu 8 encourages its artists to free themselves from the rules and constraints to create freely, in a space dedicated to innovation and cultural exchanges. This creative approach resonates with the values of Maison Boucheron, for whom innovation is always at the service of creativity and emotion.
