Six of Barrington’s artworks, including three sculptures and three paintings, are featured in the store. Known for his vibrant exploration of themes like identity, migration, community, and self-love, Barrington’s work reflects creativity across multiple disciplines, including painting, performance, fashion, and philanthropy. Burberry praised the artist’s innovative spirit, which aligns with the brand’s legacy of ingenuity, tracing back to Thomas Burberry’s invention of gabardine in 1879.
In addition to the artworks, Burberry is showcasing five replica pieces from its archives, highlighting the brand’s rich heritage as a pioneer in outerwear. Both the artworks and archive pieces will be on public display at the Avenue Montaigne store until October 20, offering visitors a unique blend of fashion history and contemporary art.
Through this event, Burberry reaffirms its commitment to creativity, innovation, and cultural dialogue, positioning the brand at the heart of today’s art and fashion conversations.
