CARON UNVEILS THE ARTS VERRIERS COLLECTION: A CELEBRATION OF HAUTE PERFUMERY

By Max Mendel

Maison Caron presents the exclusive “Arts Verriers” collection—23 rare atomizers sourced from the archives of illustrious French crystal makers like Baccarat, Saint Louis, and Julien Viard. Meticulously restored by Atelier Guillot, specialists in antique goldsmith restoration, each piece embodies the elegance of the Belle Époque and Art Deco eras, showcasing Caron’s dedication to craftsmanship.

Highlights include the 1910 Baccarat « Lagny » atomizer, distinguished by its elongated conical shape, swan-neck mount, and intricate hand-cut star motifs. The gilded fluted model from the same year features a gold-threaded bulb and subtle fluted crystal that captures light elegantly. From the 1940s, a Bohemian crystal atomizer in deep garnet hues boasts a gold-plated mount, reflecting the rich artistry of its time.

An Art Deco atomizer from the 1930s exemplifies minimalist refinement with clean geometric lines, black and gold painted motifs, and a streamlined rectangular mount paired with a black bulb. These pieces not only represent artistic excellence but also underscore Caron’s legacy since its founding in 1904 by Ernest Daltroff and Félicie Wanpouille, creators of iconic fragrances like Tabac Blond and Pour Un Homme de Caron.

Available exclusively at Caron’s boutique at 23 rue François 1er in Paris, the “Arts Verriers” collection reaffirms the Maison’s commitment to preserving elegance and heritage. Each unique piece stands as a testament to timeless craftsmanship.
