CHANEL EYEWEAR SPRING-SUMMER 2016 WITH CARA DELEVINGNE

CARA DELEVINGNE IS THE FACE OF THE NEW CHANEL EYEWEAR SPRING-SUMMER 2016 CAMPAIGN
No doubt about it, Cara Delevingne is a Chanel favorite. After gracing the House’s campaign images for Cruise 2012-13, Fall-Winter ready-to-wear 2014-15, and Métiers d’Art 2014-15, as well as many many runway appearances, the British top model is now the face of the Chanel Eyewear Spring-Summer 2016 campaign. Who else to embody best the ease and freshness of a collection under the sign of travel? The campaign shot by Karl Lagerfeld showcases eyewear derived from the runway show that took place last October in Paris. Among them, the « Plein Soleil » and « Bijou » glasses. « Plein Soleil » shows a new take on bicolor, inspired by the tie and die motifs, while « Bijou » is all about Chanel’s emblematic flower, the camellia. The campaign teaser video is both graphic and mysterious: on a sky blue backdrop and to the sound of thunder, Cara Delevingne appears wearing a tweed and cotton cap with her hair styled à la Vidal Sassoon. She wears her ultra graphic and ultra thin cat-eye goggles. Its glass is laser-engraved with a quilted motif (reminiscent of Chanel iconic quilts), and its mirror effect gives Delevingne the perfect, strong and contemporary look. The campaign will be out in April 2016.
