CHANEL RTW FW24 : HOMMAGE TO GABRIELLE CHANEL’S HISTORY

By Iris Jeanson

In a nod to Gabrielle Chanel’s legacy, Virginie Viard unveils the Fall-Winter 2024/25 Ready-to-Wear collection against the scenic backdrop of Deauville. Penélope Cruz and Brad Pitt starred in a film that opened the show. Paying homage to the French film « Un homme et une femme » by Claude Lelouch, the movie captures the intensity of a budding love story in Deauville, a place dear to the House and a key inspiration for Virginie Viard’s collection.

On the runway, Vivienne Rohner and Amelia Gray showcase oversized, checkered tweed coats, while Lulu Tenney adds warmth with a culottes suit under a coat in sunset hues. Angelina Kendall stuns in a pleated black satin dress, and Mahany Pery pays tribute to Chanel’s silhouette in a tweed trouser suit. Accessories, including quilted bags, tweed caps, and scarves, exude a free-spirited allure.

The collection was unveiled at the Grand Palais Éphémère in Paris, it trully mearged heritage and modernity by geeting deeper into Chanel’s world of sophistication and individual expression. This fall-winter season, Chanel unveils timeless style and effortless glamour.
