Chloé, the renowned French fashion house, announced today a groundbreaking appointment in the fashion industry. Chemena Kamali, a renowned German designer, takes the helm as the Creative Director of the iconic couture house.

Born in Germany in 1981, Chemena Kamali has built an exceptional career in the fashion industry, marked by an unwavering passion for creativity and exceptional expertise. Her academic journey led her to earn a Master of Arts in Fashion at Central Saint Martin’s in London, under the guidance of the renowned Professor Louise Wilson, where she graduated with distinction in 2007. It was there that her passion for fashion took flight and laid the foundations for an outstanding career.

Chemena Kamali’s history with Chloé dates back more than two decades when she began her career as part of Phoebe Philo’s team. She brought her creativity and talent to the brand, laying the groundwork for what would become an exceptional career. Later, in 2013, she returned to Chloé as the Director of Style and Head of Flou under the leadership of Clare Waight Keller. More recently, since 2016, she held the position of Director of Ready-to-Wear Women’s Style for Anthony Vaccarello at Saint Laurent, where she continued to make her mark in the world of fashion. The appointment of Chemena Kamali as Creative Director at Chloé is a significant event for both her and the Maison. Her deep and personal connection to Chloé, as well as its heritage, make her a natural choice for this new chapter.
