DOVER STREET MARKET PARIS / CROSBY CAFÉ

By Crash redaction

Dover Street Market Paris is having a new division of its shop : Crosby Café, a place made for events like concerts, exhibitions and more.

To achieve it, the shop collaborated with Crosby Studios, founded in 2014 by the artist and architect Harry Nuriev. Activating the foyer and terrace of the Hôtel de Coulanges, Crosby Café reinvigorates the timeworn estate with Crosby Studios’ signature designs and vibrant aesthetic. Crosby Café features original furniture pieces by Crosby Studios Home, which aims to bring high design and luxury goods to the masses through collections that maintain a sense of individualistic expression and nonconformity with pieces like tables and chairs available for sale. Visitors enter a grand dining room that at first glance appears to be mid-renovation but are then greeted by a sea of cobalt blue furniture. Reminiscent of a pool of water, a monumental, 9-meter-long kitchen island spans the entire length of the dining hall. Parallel to the kitchenette are two rows of dining table sets consisting of blue folding tables, folding stools, and poufs. They can additionally venture onto the terrace, which overlooks the Jardin des Rosiers Joseph Migneret, or hangout in a lounge decorated with circular blue sofa surrounded by checkerboard-patterned walls, floors, and drapes. We can find food from Rose Bakery and Ten Belles. Crosby Café launches this Saturday, 3 July and will be open to the public through the autumn.
