DANIEL LEE’S FIRST COLLECTION FOR BURBERRY 2023

By Crash redaction

Daniel Lee presents his first collection with Burberry at London’s Kennington Park. The brand’s historic relationship and connection to nature and the outdoors is reinforced by the choice of this location, where the reference and inspiration to Burberry tents, of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, is more than obvious. A concealed interior evokes a warm and protective space and atmosphere.

The brand’s iconic check is presented in intrepid colors on tailoring, blanket coats and knits. What is shown on the runway is also an evolution of the Equestrian Knight Design. The classic trench coat is revisited with faux fur details and the duffle and aviator coats parade with lighter and wider silhouettes.
The brand’s British affiliation is reinforced, showing pleated tartan-inspired kilts put on pants and British-patterned Aran sweaters. Shoes remain true to the Brand’s history, such as equestrian boots and rubber rain boots; change is shown for sneakers that undergo variations and enhancement of modernity.
