De Pino, founded by young French designer Gabriel Figueiredo in 2020, explores femininity and seduction in a surrealist way in his fall/winter 2022 collection. Entitled « Forêt » the collection embodies a naive esthetic with looks made of recycled materials. Crochet and tailoring techniques sculpt pieces of exaggerated proportions. A too small bikini, an oversized dress, proportions are played with throughout the collection.   Draping pearl necklaces and metal confetti showcase the festive inspiration.  The jersey garments are meant to seem used, marking the acquired sensuality of a worn garment.  The recycled nature of the garments allow for each look to be created in only small quantities as the materials are sourced from dead stock fabric.
