Delvaux Spring-Summer 2017, Paris. A leader in the luxury leather goods business, Delvaux is constantly searching for new ways to reinvent the process of making a leather bag unique. The House’s one-of-a-kind skins benefit from unique craftsmanship and know-how of their artisans. This season, the collection draws inspiration from bold associations of colors. Classic colors like Nude, Noir, Végétal and Ivory join new pastel and vivid tones like Citron, Lilas, Corail and Indigo. The contrasts are audacious, like on the Alligator Libellule with its color effects resulting from a meticulous artisanal approach. Differently, the Brillant GM stands out with its two sides in different colors: either Ivory and Noir or Nude and Lilas. Tempête et Madame models feature an Illusion pattern, a juxtaposition of contrasting colors that create a three-dimensional effect. Finally, the new and improved Givry Borderline goes all the way with leather with a leather-covered buckle. Fabric treatment is at the core of Delvaux: this is best shown by the Alligator Rainbow, a technique that enables to cut between the scales and show contrasting rainbow colors: Nude, Citron, and Lilas. Spring-Summer 2017 marks the 50th anniversary of Delvaux’s iconic Tempête bag. For the occasion, the House has developed a Butterfly motif, which is the result of a unique technique of folding the leather and applying five shades of blue lacker to it.
