Glenn Martens presented his first live runway show for Diesel at Milan Fashion Week. Sexy, fluid and fun, the Diesel commandments are upheld by Glenn Martens with a collection comprised of 69 looks and a runway decorated with giant blow up sculptures of seductively posed women clad in denim and white tanks.

The collection opened with denim looks; low rise denim, an oversized denim belt worn as a mini skirt, « trompe l’œil » denim as a bodysuit and distressed denim outerwear for an early 2000s aesthetic. Pop and sexy metallic dresses and cardigans, mini skirts and open back tops; looks sure to be adopted by club goers. Recycled jersey is glued to denim, giving the effect of a poster torn from the wall. Organza is recycled to create light-weight and low-cut mini dresses. Denim torn by hand is constructed into coats that appear to be made of faux fur. This season’s new sneakers with the Diesel logo can be seen along with metallic bags with the oversized « D » throughout the collection.
