DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVES ON PRADA S/S 2021

By Crash

Taking advantage of the virtual presentations of the collections this season, Prada decided to offer multiple views on Spring/Summer 2021, giving the pieces different perspectives and making them evolve in different worlds. A myriad of different interpretations whether it be seen by the eye of Willy Vanderperre, Terence Nance or Juergen Teller. Each of the visual artists chosen by the house capture a unique facet of the collection. Prada states: « These inherently and fundamentally echo the traditional fashion show, where each observer has their own physical and ideological vantage-point on the collection, their own opinions, their own observations. It also reflects the reality of this Prada digital presentation: seemingly divergent but again seen by many, this time in their own environments, their own time, their own worlds. »

The clothes are minimal, ultra simple, taking us back to the core of fashion which serves to dress everyday people and meet their needs. Longevity is also at the center of this project with pieces that are timeless, meant to glide through time effortlessly. Silhouettes are sharp, fitted, with a focus on technologically advanced materials like the iconic Prada nylon. It is radical purity at its finest, stripping back to reveal the essence of the brand.
