Dilara Findikoglu has never been one to conform. With each collection, she crafts a world that defies norms, reclaims power, and reimagines femininity on her own terms. Her Fall/Winter 2025 show, Venus from Chaos, is no exception—a sartorial rebellion against oppressive regime, a celebration of radical self-expression, and an invitation to see a world shaped by the strength of feminine conviction.
Venus from Chaos is a meditation on destruction and rebirth. “If Earth was born of Chaos, Chaos will be Earth’s end,” the collection declares, acknowledging the relentless cycle of oppression and resistance. But rather than engaging in an endless struggle against imposed power structures, Findikoglu turns inward, seeking strength within. This season, she constructs a world of her own—a Venusian haven where the weight of patriarchal gravity is lifted, allowing bodies, minds, and souls to bloom unbridled.
The collection’s visual narrative reflects this transformation. Structured, corseted silhouettes reminiscent of warriors, symbols of past battles, are shed like a second skin, revealing layers of fluidity and metamorphosis beneath. Leather, mesh, and snakeskin peel away to expose new flesh, symbolizing rebirth and self-renewal. Hair, freed from societal expectations, tumbles in waves, untamed and untrimmed. This is a world where nothing is repressed, where every detail of the body is honored and adorned.
The show’s partnership with Converse plays a central role in bringing Findikoglu’s vision to life. Classic Chucks are reimagined as part of this new Venusian realm, transformed into artifacts of female freedom. The collection’s final look, created in collaboration with renowned leather artisans Whitaker Malem, serves as a stunning climax. Its surface carefully hand-etched with tattoo art by Jonah Slater, highlighting the foundational values of this new world onto the skin itself.
Findikoglu’s Venus from Chaos is a manifesto, a declaration of autonomy, and a promise of revival. It dares to imagine a future untethered from the past, a world where power is reclaimed and rewritten in the language of those who refuse to be silenced. As Earth crumbles under Chaos, Venus rises— freer, stronger, and more radiant than ever before.
