DIOR GOLD HOUSE: AN IMMERSIVE SHOWCASE OF ART AND COUTURE IN BANGKOK

By Max Mendel

Dior unveils the Dior Gold House in Bangkok’s Ploenchit district, an evolving concept store where French luxury meets Thai craftsmanship. Inspired by the iconic 30, avenue Montaigne townhouse, the space gleams in gold mosaics, realized by Thai artisans, and is surrounded by lush, botanical gardens that evoke a sense of serenity and grandeur.

Inside, the store showcases Maria Grazia Chiuiri’s ready-to-wear collection, Kim Jones’ menswear collection, and Dior’s iconic accessories, jewelry, and Dior Maison collections. Natural materials like bamboo and raffia soften the modern design, while signature motifs such as toile de « Jouy » and the « Plan de Paris » print connect tradition with contemporary elegance.

Art is an integral part of the experience, with installations by nine leading Thai artists. Highlights include Boonserm Premthada’s elephant footprint sculptures and Saran Yen Panya’s reimagined tuk-tuk derived from the streets of Bangkok. Vassana and Savin Saima’s Lady Dior bags in bamboo blend heritage craftsmanship with Dior’s innovative spirit.

Café Dior by Mauro Colagreco offers a moment of sensory refinement. Set within Korakot Aromdee’s bamboo installations, its nature-inspired menu reflects the interplay of organic sophistication and Dior’s couture heritage.

Dior Gold House is a luminous convergence of French and Thai artistry, transforming luxury into a cultural dialogue defined by creativity, heritage, and imagination.
