DIOR HAUTE COUTURE AW 21-22

By Anthony Thuong-Seng

This year, the Dior haute couture A/W 2021-2022 collection by Maria Grazia Chiuri took place in the Musée Rodin in Paris. The decor “Chambre de Soie”, inspired by the Salle aux Broderies in the Colona Palace in Rome has been made by the plastician artist Eva Jospin, which is also in line with the collection. Indeed, the collection is characterized by hand-made embroideries. The book ‘Threads of Life’ by Clare Hunter has been a major inspiration and a common thread for the collection. The French house shows its savoir-faire through 75 looks composed of dresses, coats and jackets and a few accessories with a predominance of pale colors like beige, grey and black.
