Paris, Dior Homme FW16. Discover our key looks from the latest Dior Homme fall-winter 2016 collection show.

This season, the Tennis Club de Paris was transformed by Belgian artist Willy Vanderperre in a nocturnal skate park lit by red neons and a huge chandelier hanging from the ceiling. « The art of falling apart » is the name of this season’s collection, that clearly takes inspirations from the new wave’s aesthetic and skate culture for a contemporary result. The aim of the designer, as said, is to create an hybrid style, transforming the past experiences and styles from the 70s and 80s in a contemporary context without melancholy. This season, the tailored suits have contrasted volumes and are often revisited with check box prints or embroideries, the bow ties are thinner than the classic ones, the perfecto red leather jackets are paired with chunky pullover, roll neck or not, with wintery prints and fingers cut gloves. The contrast between black and red is very recurrent in the whole collection, going from the outfits to small details such us the models black polish nail or the red hiking boots shoelaces and socks. Roses prints, one of the most cherished symbols of the brand, appear either on skater black bombers or trenches. The electric ambience created by the red neons seems to takes us to an underground club without loosing though the contact with the contemporary, mixing and matching different styles for a modern result.
