DIOR LAUNCHES LADY DIOR CAMPAIGN WITH ROSALÌA
By Chloe Edstein
The relationship between Rosalìa and Dior blossomed as Maria Grazia Chiuri believed her to be a “modern form of womanhood, » saying she “was especially fascinated by how this young artist was able to reinterpret and reactivate the sounds and clothing associated with flamenco, transposing them to a more modern and contemporary framework.” Rosalìa is the first to front an advertising campaign for Lady Dior since 2016.
Photographer Collier Schorr beautifully captures a vast range of emotions through colour and profound intensity with black and white. Lady Dior’s strength lies in her subtle elegance. Rosalìa’s powerful presence and captivating gaze, combined with a commanding trench coat, create a striking contrast against the soft interplay of light, billowing curtains, and the minimalism of the setting. The Lady Dior campaign serves as a seamless blend of bold authority and femineity. Dior and Rosalìa use their voices to express themselves, strength, and creativity, together developing a new language.
The campaign pays homage to the art of live performance and the intense connections between fashion, stage, and music; a tribute to freedom, overflowing with dynamic energy and driven by the power of the arts.
