Gucci has just revealed its Spring/Summer 2020 campaign and the star of the film is none other than a beautiful horse, the new trusted companion of humans – after the dog. Like any other pet, he hangs out with people but as if the owners were actually his friends. In a 70s infused imagery and general vibe, Gucci models go about with their daily lives – they take the plane, go to the gas station, shop for groceries, relax at the pool and share a meal… all with their funky horses. An equestrian tale of a new sort of friendship between the animal and the human race. It is none other than Yorgos Lanthimos, extraordinary director who is known for his disturbing yet magnificent movies like The Lobster or The Killing of a Sacred Deer, who is behind this mini movie. Alessandro Michele also chose the horse for its image of liberty and fast pace forward, mirroring the Gucci Spring/Summer 2020 collection which defied preconceived rules and boundaries to invent a new vocabulary.
