DURAN LANTINK APPOINTED NEW CREATIVE DIRECTOR OF JEAN PAUL GAULTIER

By Iris JEANSON

Duran Lantink appointed new permanent Creative Director of the House of Jean Paul Gaultier, marking the end of its collaborative era. Lantink will debut his vision for Jean Paul Gaultier during September’s Paris Fashion Week, staging the brand’s first ready-to-wear show in over a decade. Regarding his first Haute Couture collection, it will be unveiled in January 2026.

-Jean Paul Gaultier: « I find in him energy, audacity and desire to have fun with clothes that I had when I started out: the new enfant terrible of fashion. Welcome, Duran. »

-Duran Lantink: « For me, Jean Paul Gaultier is a genius. He belongs to that generation of designers who opened the doors to freedom expression, without having to apologise for who you are. It’s a real honor to become Creative Director of the House today. For me, Gaultier is the ultimate brand, one that combines a radical vision of fashion with unique expertise. It’s also a House that constantly challenges codes. It goes beyond the boundaries of fashion by integrating all cultural disciplines to create a perpetual creative movement. Jean Paul Gaultier is redefining the language of clothing and the way we wear it on the street.”
