EASTPAK ARTIST STUDIO RELEASES 11 BACKPACKS TO SUPPORT DESIGNERS AGAINST AIDS

Every year since 2010, Eastpak reveals the creations of its Eastpak Artist Studio, a workshop inviting the world’s most creative designers to reinterpret its iconic backpack: the Padded Pak’r. This year features a line of 11 backpacks, reimagined by top designers including Simon Porte Jacquemus, Alexandre Vauthier, Giambattista Valli, Demna Gvasalia for Vetements, Christopher Raeburn, Nicola Formichetti for Nicopanda, Alexandre Mattiussi for AMI Paris, Wanda Nylon, Henry Holland for House of Holland, Inan Batman for Inan, as well as Humberto Leon & Carol Lim for Kenzo. Each designer revisits the Eastpak Padded Pak’r to create an original piece embodying their personal vision. That means that each bag offers a brand-new interpretation of the Eastpak legacy, which is precisely what makes this project so good. This season, all proceeds will go to Designers Against AIDS (DAA), an organization that supports prevention and treatment efforts in the fight against this terrible disease. Eastpak will launch the 2016 edition on World AIDS Day, December 1, in honor of this very special day.
