ECKHAUS LATTA COLLABORATES WITH UGG

By Alice Butterlin

From Y/Project to BAPE, Ugg is on a roll of stylish and unexpected collaborations. Today, we bring to you probably the most exciting one to date, an Ugg shoe designed by the Eckhaus Latta duo, Zoe Latta and Mike Eckhaus. The shoes were unveiled at New York Fashion Week during their show with models walking proudly in square-toed furry booties. Urban sophistication meets casual-wear in a line of six designs. The Court Boot, the Court Mule, the Court Mule Open Toe and the Court Not Clog wrap the foot in cozy sheepskin with either chunky or slim wooden heels. Eckhaus Latta are known for advocating unisex clothing so this collaboration was the perfect opportunity to cater to that. The Block Boot and the Block Slide are made to be worn by women and men, indifferently. The classic Ugg styles are given a make-over with sleek finishes and funky colors.

The collaboration also features four eye-catching coats, all made from sheepskin. « We like the fact that the Ugg products are so laid-back that they’ve surpassed their casual status to become style icons” says Mike Eckhaus and Zoe Latta « To be able to add something to this icon has been an honor. » The line will be available next September.
