Ester Manas presents an enticing and empowering collection for SS22. The duo debuted the runway with a supercharged, all be it essentially blurred and transparent, collection throwing caution to the wind, with models of all shapes and sizes, and clothes delicately deconstructed and draped to enhance the beauty of their natural skin and curves.

Dresses emblazoned with the collection title, ‘DRESS DIFFERENTLY’ set the tone for what would follow to be a concise and powerful message. Using neutral tones of chiffon, silk and cotton, pops of electric blue and yellow brought a cleverly considered strike of colour.

Inspired by the painter John Kacere, delicate gathered chiffons moulded over models curves, contrasted against deliberate, cropped shirts, unexpected outer seams and subtle but arresting cut aways from tops and skirts, lending the collection an innocent ‘girl next door’, carefree and confident in her own home kind of quality, giving a new kind of meaning to nudity and transparency.
