ETRO’s SS25 menswear collection delves deep into the realm of prints, bringing together original elements such as paisley, stripes, and madras that have long been a part of Etro’s legacy. These distinctive patterns form a rich narrative that draws from both classic and contemporary aesthetics.

The journey began with Gimmo Etro’s exploration of noble fabrics and artisanal weaves from the 1960s onward, as he sought out and gathered materials from diverse cultures and regions. In Marco De Vincenzo’s vision, the designs found on these fabrics serve as the building blocks for a story that delves into the world of patterns, showcasing how they have influenced Etro’s creative heritage through a fusion of inspirations, time periods, and cultural influences.

Adorned with eleven different patterns, six silhouettes are featured in two colour variations on a single viscose fabric. De Vincenzo integrates the brand’s distinct elements to create a dynamic display characterized by the juxtaposition of past and present, as each shape and motif evolves into fresh expressions and blends with others in a vibrant mix of natural tones and lively shades.

This immersive experience showcases prints that encapsulate Etro’s essence and legacy, unveiled at a special event during Milan Fashion Week. Guests had the opportunity to wear the new collection’s ensembles at an intimate dinner in the charming Garden of Voce Aimo e Nadia, set amidst the architectural splendour of the Gallerie d’Italia.
