The timeless city of Rome influenced Kim Jones to create an ethereal Spring/Summer 2022 collection for Fendi Couture. Transforming history and modernity into futuristic silhouettes defined by lavish craftsmanship.  A sense of fantasy and ceremony throughout the collection, fluid fabrics, baguette beads and hand-embroidered tights, create a spiritual energy.  Traditional and modern craftsmanship techniques unite with traditional beading and mother of pearl over photographs of distorted fabrics printed on silk and organza, and hand-painted images of classical statues on sheared mink and velvet. Persian lamb and leather armor and floor sweeping trains reflect Kim Jones’ desire to « celebrate the power of women, » throughout his transcendent collection.
