FENDI NEW HEADQUARTERS TO BE INAUGURATED IN LIVESTREAM

This Thursday, October 22th, at 7.45 PM, Fendi will inaugurate their new headquarters at Palazzo della Civiltà Italiana in Rome. To celebrate the much-awaited event, the House commissioned Italian artist Mariano Nanni, who will unveil a spectacular light installation called Poesia di Luce (« Poem of Light »), to be discovered live on www.fendi.com. Known for his groundbreaking work with lights since the 1990s, Nanni is also responsible for the permanent lighting of the Palazzo, to be unveiled the same night. The lighting will play with the architectural identity of the Palazzo and create a unique effect of perspective. The inauguration will also be the occasion to celebrate the opening of Fendi’s first exhibition, Una Nuova Roma: L’Eur e il Palazzo della Civiltà Italiana. Located in the Palazzo’s first floor, destined to remain an ongoing exhibition space, the exhibition will « tell its story since its architectural project to nowadays ». Thrilled by the event, Pietro Beccari, Chairman and CEO of Fendi added: « We are proud to give back to our city, Rome, and to the whole world, The Palazzo della Civiltà Italiana, symbol of our Roman roots and of a continuous dialogue between traditions and modernity, values dear to Fendi since ever. »
