DIOR PRESENTS THE 3D-PRINTED CARLO DERBIES

By Martina Conte

Kim Jones for the Dior winter 2023-2024 line has reinterpreted the iconic Dior Carlo Derbies through the technique of 3D printing. The goal, through each stage of their creation, is to create a fascinating and continuous dialogue between past and present, tradition and innovation, which is made explicit from the design to the polishing stage; the shoe is created with entirely recyclable materials. With all the precision and meticulousness of haute couture, these models are embellished with Dior’s signature, which is placed on the heel.
