POLICROMIA: DELFINA DELETTREZ FENDI DESIGNS HAUTE JOAILLERIE WATCH FOR FENDI TIMEPIECES

Noted jewelry designer Delfina Delettrez Fendi teamed up with Fendi Timepieces to create a luxurious haute joaillerie watch collection imbued with a Surrealist feeling. Called Policromia, from the Greek words poly (multiple) and khrôma (colors), the 20-piece watch collection shows intricate work on each of its models. The watch design is characterized by its multiple layers of textures and surfaces, combinations of colors and asymmetrical bezels made in noble materials, which give it its singular silhouette. A signature of Delfina Delettrez Fendi, malachite lends the watch its hypnotic quality, and shows the incredible craftsmanship of inserting real stones into the object (such as green and blue mother-of-pearl, or lapis lazuli). White and yellow gold endow the watch with its timeless value, while brilliant-cut diamonds enhance the case and dial. Playing with geometry and 3D effects, Policromia stands as an homage to the architecture of Rome. Today, Fendi unveils the Policromia collection with a short film directed by German photographer Daniel Sannwald: a Surrealist journey between mythology and the future in a beautiful mix of Greek and Roman Antiquity. In the video, the Palazzo Della Civiltà Italiana becomes the backdrop of a dreamy alternate world, where Policromia comes alive.
