JUNE 1st, NEW YORK – G-STAR NEW STORE OPENING ON 5TH AVENUE

This 1st of June, Pharrell Williams and G-Star celebrated the new flagship store opening on 5th Avenue in New York. This is the first inauguration of the world renowned singer since he became co-owner and Head of Imagination of the House last February 2016. Indeed, two months after visiting the G-Star Raw factory in Amsterdam, Pharrell Williams inaugurated the new flagship store coming from Williamsburg by bike after visiting all G-Star boutiques on his way. The initiative was to support ecologic alternatives of transport as well as promoting in an original way the « tour » of different G-Star stores. The new flagship on 5th avenue is modern and with an unconventional design. With its 250 square meters, it is one of the biggest G-Star RAW store in the US. The concept of « open-display » was developed through its structure, allowing people to see inside the store from the outside. This way, the product is enhanced in all its details and different models. A great variety of models in different textiles are displayed in the sore, unveiling the craftsmanship of the house as one of its core value.
