Antithesis is the key word to describe the Gauchère Fall-Winter 2015 collection. Based on this idea, the collection creates asymmetry, opposition, and especially deconstruction. Marie-Christine Statz takes all this deconstructed layers and shapes and puts them together to create a brand new silhouette for the new era. Though the amount of work done on layers may be imperceptible, incredible techniques and know-how helped creating silhouettes that appear effortless. Statz presents here a new kind of clothing with an intricate architecture and creates new forms, shapes and lines that evoke different and displaced dimensions. This will surely be the future of making clothes.
