The FENDI Women’s Astrology Summer Capsule 2023 advertising campaign stars supermodel Irina Shayk immortalized by photographer Steven Maisel, in shots warmed by the sweet, hot sun to so perfectly celebrate the arrival of summer.

What can be seen in the shots is a bright blue sky reflecting on a terrazzat with a sea view, all surrounded by bright yellow FENDI details, echoing the umbrellas and mats. The FENDI Astrology Capsule for Summer 2023 is inspired by iconic collections from the Maison’s archives, Spring/Summer 1990 and Spring/Summer 1993, along with key codes established by Couture and Womenswear Artistic Director Kim Jones.

Unmistakable details are the zodiac signs, in English and Italian, that accompany the astrological prints originally designed by Karl Lagerfeld; the same sporty silhouettes worn on the 1993 runway become this season’s swimwear, now made of recycled lycra.
Rounding out the collection even more are a series of accessories signed by Accessories Artistic Director Silvia Venturini Fendi. The Peekaboo and Baguette bags, icons of FENDI, are made even more summery in bright white colors paying homage to the Mediterranean coast. The introduction of a beach-friendly Sunshine Shopper in raffia along with the summery FENDI Step Out bucket bag in straw ensures a wide variety of options for the season. An assortment of jewelry rounds out the collection: zodiac signs are reinterpreted by Jewelry Artistic Director Delfina Delettrez Fendi in the form of elegant pendants, while bold fabric bracelets match the ready-to-wear line, featuring zodiac signs and signatures from the archive.
