SUPERMODEL GIGI HADID TO LAUNCH CAPSULE COLLECTION WITH TOMMY HILFIGER

Starting Fall 2016, top model and rising star Gigi Hadid will become the brand ambassador of Tommy Hilfiger. With the launch of a capsule collection, which she designed in collaboration with Mr Hilfiger, Hadid’s appointment comes as the American House builds on a new vision of it’s global women’s business. The capsule collection will feature sportswear, footwear and accessories, plus an exclusive fragrance. Hilfiger and Hadid not only share the same initial « H », they do have the same cool sense of style, and effortless, all-American approach to fashion. « I’ve known Gigi and her family for years, and it has been amazing to watch her grow into one of the world’s top models and most-followed fashion influencers, » said Hilfiger, continuing: « She is truly the definition of today’s Tommy Girl – her magnetic personality is bright and always optimistic, and her style is confident, effortless and cool. » These last couple of years, the fashion industry has experienced some major changes, particularly regarding the perception of models, who can now be followed any time, any day on social media. Becoming brands of their own, the new generation of supermodels actively participate in the making of fashion. They are trendsetters, influencers. In the past, Tommy Hilfiger had already collaborated with big names like Beyoncé, Charlotte Gainsbourg or Naomi Campbell. No doubt that this collaboration is going to be huge.
