GUCCI PROSPETTIVE 1 : MILANO ANCORA

By Martina Conte

Gucci Prospettive is the project that aims to reinforce Creative Director Sabato De Sarno’s commitment and dedication to continuing and highlighting the dialogue between art and fashion. Gucci Prospettive is characterized by being a series of publications that want to celebrate art and its deep connection with the Brand. Stefano Collicelli Cagol, Ph.D., director of the Centro per l’Arte Contemporanea Luigi Pecci in Prato and former curator of the Quadriennale di Roma (2018-2021), offered an interpretation of the vision in this first chapter, Gucci Perspectives No. 1, Milano Ancora.

The works within the catalog mix literature, music, cinema, fashion to tell flashes of the city’s artistic culture, from the postwar period to the present. The artists involved take turns to narrate the Milan of beauty and sensuality and to imagine new spaces and new identities, transcending traditional narratives.

Selected by Sabato De Sarno in collaboration with young graduates of the Brera Academy of Fine Arts, the works of Cristiano Rizzo, Martino Santori, Noura Tafeche and Valerio Eliogabalo Torrisi were included in the publication and presented in a temporary gallery at 5 Fiori Chiari Street, open to the public from Sept. 19 to 23.
