Alessandro Michele’s Gucci is all about the look. Presenting his spring-summer 2017 collection in a muted yet decadent red venue with quilted sofas and over 250,000 mirrored sequins on the walls, the designer created the mood for a collection that exuded personality. With this collection, each looks seems to tell a story. Every story told is different from the next one, but they work as a whole, and seem to be taken from a 70s-inspired movie with deep roots in literature, and where colors explode. « Color is the soul of fashion » said Michele about the collection where colorful patterns and embroideries merge into powerful textures, rightfully titled « Magic Lanterns ».
