ON THE RUNWAY AT HERMÈS FALL WINTER 2016
Hermès Fall Winter 2016, Paris. On Monday, January 7th, Nadège Vanhee-Cybulski presented her latest collection for Hermès in Paris’ Garde Républicaine. Opening the show were some taupe textured pieces which lines created movement. The silhouette is accentuated at the waist (often with a black leather belt, whether chunky or thin) and the shapes are quite loose. This is a collection about subtlety, and as always with Hermès, luxury fabrics such as leather, suede, silk and cashmere. The long, monochrome dresses with large sleeves are definitely the best representation of Hermès’ French elegance, and the absence of jewelry – except for minimalistic broaches – puts the focus on the main interest here: highly qualitative, timelessly elegant clothes.
