HERON PRESTON FW23

By Crash redaction

Heron Preston has always been very attached to the city of New York, always seeing it as an inspirational resource and this is the reason why the designer decided to bring the runway  back to the city during NYFW. “The collection is a tribute to the people who populate NY  and make it the city it is”  says Preston.

What can be seen on the runway, besides the brand’s essential workwear, is definitely leather, police jackets, pockets pants,  varsity jackets in different colors and faux fur elements that appear in different looks and shapes from aviator, cropped jackets and coats to backpacks and carabiner handbags, elevating the NYC winter wardrobe. Industrial textiles and motocross inspired graphics prevail for men and the Heron Preston name is reinvented in playful forms on NYC inspired graphics like the HPNY, H.P.C Security and the NYC Censored prints.

What is not missing within the collection is Preston’s passion for vintage and pre-loved garments such as the Toby Mid Top, a sneaker evocative of the 90s skateboarding. The existing Block Stepper and other outlines, like the mule and sandal are developed in new colorways and the famous level heel by Heron Preston is restored in the women’s collection.
