
THE NEW WINNER OF THE HUGO BOSS PRIZE 2014 HAS BEEN REVEALED

The 21st November, the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation and Hugo Boss announced the winner of the Hugo Boss Prize. The award goes to Paul Chan, his work will be exposed in a solo exposition at the Guggenheim Museum in New-York in the spring of 2015. The jury of museums directors and curators designate Paul Chan for his significant contribution to the contemporary art world, as well as his talent in every kind of medium he chooses to use. The other international artists nominated alongside Paul were Sheela Gowda, Camille Henrot, Charline von Heyl and Hassan Khan.
Every two years since 1996, the Hugo Boss Prize rewards artists whose works are compelling in the contemporary visual arts with a 100.000 $ prize from the Solomo R. Guggenheim Foundation. Some of the previous winners were Danh Vo, Tacita Dean, Pierre Huyghe or Matthew Barney.
The event took place at the Guggenheim Museum in New York, where celebrities and art lovers such as Margot Robbie, Natasha Poly or Michael Avedon came to support and congratulate the artists.
