HYBRID LAYERING AT LANVIN MEN’S A/W 18

By Crash redaction

The starting point of the collection directly comes from “the legacy and origin of the Lanvin man: the suit,” said Lucas Ossendrijver about the Lanvin men’s a/w 2018. The collection delivered hybrid urban silhouettes carved out from fine English fabrics jammed-packed with a mix of unexpected elements like military jacket detailing, animal or floral prints. Stripes, threads and studs, traditional and technical fabrics, military and urban details: everything is layered together, like this one part-technical, part-suit parka asymmetrical jacket unveiling the detail of a shirt and jacket. All in all, the collection worked wonders at conveying a subtle urban silhouette.
