IDEA BOOKS IS RELEASING A BOOK ABOUT VETEMENTS

By Crash redaction

A 304-PAGE BOOK ABOUT VETEMENTS IS COMING WITH IDEA BOOKS

Since its launch only about two years ago, VETEMENTS has been one of the most respected and talked-about brandS in the Parisian and international fashion landscape. With their radical approach to clothing and avant-garde point of view, the designers of VETEMENTS (a brand which champions their work as a collective) bring something new to the table. The label was launched by Demna Gvasalia, who entered the spotlight when he was appointed creative director of Balenciaga last November, following Alexander Wang’s departure. IDEA’s « VETEMENTS » is a thoroughly documented series of photographs by Corsican, Paris-based photographer Pierre-Ange Carlotti, whose work has already been exhibited in his first solo show Bored and Naked, a show featuring intimate portraits of lovers and friends. It is with this intimate, almost secretive eye that Carlotti captures the essence of VETEMENTS. Unvarnished, raw, his photography documents the work of the teams of stylists and models in the days before, during, and after the VETEMENTS Spring-Summer 2016 show in Paris, and gives a precious insight of what the label is all about: the clothes.

« VETEMENTS » will be released in an edition of 500 copies during Paris Men’s Fashion Week at Comme Des Garçons Trading Museum. The book is also available for purchase from IDEA at Dover Street Market London, New York, and Ginza, Tokyo, and on www.idea-books.com
