It was wedding time at Jean Paul Gaultier’s headquarters on Rue Saint-Martin last Thursday! And there was no better inspiration for a collection that marked a big turn for the Jean Paul Gaultier house since leaving the ready-to-wear business last season with a big, bold, joyful, very Jean Paul Gaultier finish. Named « 61 Façons de Se Dire Oui » (61 Ways to Say Yes), this haute couture collection literally redefined the usual wedding. As usual, Jean Paul Gaultier used his incredible tailoring skills in favor of his bold, playful, and extremely feminine vision. With bridal bouquets on everyone’s seats, the audience couldn’t help but throwing them on the runway with their applauses and « Bravo! » as soon as real, sexy, and fabulous women went down the runway posing and looking as confident as ever. Cherry on the wedding cake: Naomi Campbell appeared like the most glamorous bridal bouquet to close the show – or should we say, the celebration!
