ON THE RUNWAY AT JIL SANDER FALL WINTER 2016

This Saturday, Rodolfo Paglialunga presented his Fall-Winter 2016 collection for Jil Sander in Milan. The sound of heels hitting the floor provided the rhythm for a mysterious soundtrack, which established the mood of the collection. Opening the show on signature tailored coats, Paglialunga added to the Jil Sander pure aesthetic a little bit of a shimmer with touches of silver under black tailored jackets. Fabrics felt exquisite and the designer took risks as well with mohair pullovers worn over knee-length skirts. A rigid, silver, buttoned-up coat even gave a bit of a futuristic feeling, showing the designer’s interest in exploring the possibilities of new fabrics. The overall look was elegant and sleek, and it was enhanced by great footwear, namely ultra-feminine high-heels.
