JIL SANDER MEN FWW16: ON THE RUNWAY
Since his appointment at the helm of Jil Sander in 2014, Rodolfo Paglialunga has been capturing the essence of the iconic House known for the inimitable sense of minimalism brought by its founder. An aesthetic that has become so iconic that it must be a real challenge to manage not to lose that essence. Paglialunga definitely hasn’t lost it, and presented this weekend a perfect representation of what Jil Sander is about: clothes that speak for themselves. With a slight military inspiration, some pieces almost looked clerical, which gave them an irresistible appeal – shoulder straps, roomy coats, and oversize MA1 jackets are definitely on the radar this season. Leather coats and jackets just screamed luxury in a discreet yet affirmed way and wool jumpers looked so comfortable anyone wouldn’t mind the cold, cold weather.
