JUNYA WATANABE MAN FALL-WINTER 2016 PARIS
By Crash redaction
ON THE RUNWAY: JUNYA WATANABE MAN FALL 2016
Was there a Russian influence to this new Junya Watanabe Man collection presented this morning in Paris’ 20th arrondissement? Most of the models were wearing ushanka-hats to accessorize their perfectly tailored taupe to navy blue coat-and-rolled-up-pants ensembles. Though the reference may be a bit literal coming from us, the khaki coats and camouflage lining of the denim trousers kept us thinking about a walk in the cold forest, where multi- and side-pockets would be our best allies. Classic striped shirts were embellished by multiple patterns we almost wanted to read like a map. An invitation to discoveries we’re more than happy to accept.
